Our educational event will begin on Friday, May 3rd with a Vet/Farrier Relations Roundtable discussion surrounding the overall theme of the High/Low Horse.
On Saturday, May 4th we will begin with a light breakfast and then launch into lectures from Dr. Jaret Pullen and Dr. Scott Fleming. Attendees will enjoy lunch beginning at 12pm. Following lunch, we will get to the hands-on wet lab led by Dr. Pullen and Dr. Fleming. This is an all-inclusive event.

Jaret Pullen’s lecture will focus on The Trials and Tribulations of High/Low Feet and will cover the following topics:
- The anatomy of these common aberrations and their associated pathologies
- Pros and cons of different treatment options
- The use of different imaging modalities centering around how therapeutic shoeing alters the mechanical loads that affect these feet
Scott Fleming’s lecture will focus on The High/Low Horse and will cover the following topics:
- MRI diagnosed pathologies associated with the high/low horse with treatment and shoeing protocols
- Implications for trimming and shoeing balance across stages of rehabilitation, footing and discipline
The wet lab will involve a work up on one horse and shoe fronts.
